Rain Poem #2,000,000                             Rain                         Here in the darkness                         And only here         Nothing else The only sound I can hear The only thing I can feel Is the calling of the rain Don’t move or you’ll break The spell Don’t think or you’ll awaken Close your eyes No one can see No one can know No one can find you Here in the rain Some long dead philosopher raised a Question If you can’t see something Does it cease to exist? Can I close this bedroom  door and know That once closed Nothing lay beyond it Just four walls, a door Darkness and the rain Forever suspending Eternally paused So I close my eyes And try to find some Incantation, spell, word                         Prayer To keep my world forever Rain Written February 27th, 2002 © on Feb 27 2002 12:44 PM PST   0 • 10
