my window to the world looks upon an interchange i stand here for weeks basking in the sun and the night lights this corner of my world stand above two stories high much nearer to the sky people passing by staring with yearning eyes never satisfied with what money can buy the four ways that stretched brings life to my days teenagers and school children went all the same way learning the value of the currency is never enough for the mind's fancies a beggar sat on the pavement legs raw with wounds in front of a posh plaza beneath the sun and moon staring blankly at passerby whose eyes could never meet and went on with a sigh dazed not by the blazing heat or the saddening reality but by the freezing coldness of human sympathy i envy what i see but even if i could break free i wouldn't know if the better i'll be.
