Supernova

In the deepest caverns of my mind I’ve always hoped to find The secret kept by fate My journey in life ahead For I’ve always yearned to be a star Not for its seemingly eternal glow But for its end when it blows Into a magnificent supernova If only for one moment I too could burst forth And burn so bright Lighting the darkest nights My light shall drown the universe And send darkness into oblivion For everyone to see In admiration of my beauty For the chance to inspire With my radiantly courageous fire One moment is all I’ve yearned To shine in utmost brilliance For all to see in astonishment And forever etched in remembrance.
