Out of seemingly endless darkness Came a brand new day Not yours this But mine alone And I gazed in wonder At all its living colour Spring green, the grass grew lush Carpet to my still raw feet And overhead the brightest blue With just a fluff of white That I’d walked on once With you And purple flowers growing wild A red dress on a dancing child And on and on My eyes were drawn To all dark’s hostages free Until I felt I’d burst With joyChallenge Description: Welcome the spring with this challenge.
