Alone again I lay down my head                           Where shadows fall and darkness reigns                           Praying for the night to come and take me                           To the love that awaits me in my dreams                           Slowly the mists roll in with the tide                           Carrying me along to meet with my destiny                           Over turbulent and wind swept waters                           The velvet hands of night stretch out to greet me                           In this moment I feel helpless as a newborn child                           Until I'm once again safe in his embrace                           My worries and my fears fade away                           I see the tenderness and the love in his face                           My body trembles with his touch                           His fingertips know the way to my soul                           Taking my mind and body to higher places                           It is only with him that I feel whole                           The peace and rapture I feel within his arms                           Will soon fade away in the morning light                           Once again I will be alone and                           Frantically I try to hold on to the night                           To a cold and lonely place I drift                           Back to the aches within my heart                           How I long to go back to my dream                           Where love and hope can start                           So I keep this dream inside me                           Because I know how much he cares                           For when I need peace and love                           My dream will still be there Written October 9th, 2001 © on Oct 09 2001 03:54 AM PST   18 • 0 • 8
