I came to you

By katraylor

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I came to you my heart in hand, a cloud above my head. you looked at me most thoughtfully and parted lips, and said, "I loved you once, and once again, and now the magic's dead. Now go away and stay away." and so I did, and quickly died.I'm not sure about some of the words. maybe the second "now" should be "so," and maybe "and now" should be "but now." can't decide.
