Mister Fish
By katraylor
Mister Fish, Don't you wish That you weren't lying in a dish? Your graceful tail And sequin scales Are dirtying my fingernails. I hover with the silver knife And wonder where to make the slice; For if I botch this lab, my friend, I can't go back and try again. A new dissection specimen Would drain the school board's penny-tin. And so we must conserve our fish, And clams, and frogs (Watch out- they squish). In smelly hell we work, and wish This awful year were over with.Spring 2001, Goofy little poem composed after doing a fish dissection in AP Bio last year. Yeah, that wasn't obvious... ^^ I've always sort of liked it, but I think the focus isn't very good- going from the fish to the school board to the school.
