Parting

i die in pieces, filling out the void with laughter's tearful breath and knowing you are watching me, i take sharp pleasure in my death. your hand is there, a warmth upon my chest that life no longer gives, and were it not too late, we'd share such words as they who love, and live. but now the time is thinning out, and darkness billows in. too soon the end is here, and you are left with tears and empty skin. too late to grasp how serious the mortal world can be, we fly apart, a flock of sighs in bleak eternity.I never thought I was morbid. Guess it's my subconscious. Written February 6th, 2002 © on Feb 05 2002 04:51 PM PST   10 • 0 • 1
