Pain and Misery

This great realization of life is such a tragic mystery. Why does God punish us, and put us through such misery? There is no happiness in this world. There is only heartache and pain. I can only see the suffering. There is no fun or peace to gain. The problems surround us more and more each day. They seem to grow and flourish, no matter how much we pray. Lord, why are we supposed to have so much on our shoulders? I know you want us to be more righteous, because we are a little bolder. We will be able to understand some time. But, why do the children have to suffer? They didn't do anything to deserve the treatment they get, because WE are tougher. I can't take it anymore, watching the kids have to endure the terrible treatment. I would just as soon not be on this earth, for it is hell to watch this arrangement. There is too much disease and sin. There is too much lying and cheating. There is not enough  neighborliness, and the helpful ways of church meetings. I just want to see happiness on family and friends' faces. People who have problems and pain, would be included in these places. The places in the heart and soul that will always give a smile. No matter what a person sees or hears, they will walk that extra mile. To help others' in the human race, that would be quite a wonderful thing. If only we could get everyone to do this, maybe peace and fellowship we could bring. Written October 29th, 2001 © on Oct 29 2001 11:44 AM PST   18 • 0 • 13
