And All the Stars of Heaven shall Sing

By Keith

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Shepherds shiver where they lie Snowflakes quiver in the sky Silence blankets all the earth At the hour of Jesus' birth And all the Stars in heaven shall sing The glory of the new-born King And all the Stars in heaven shall sing The glory of the new-born King Cradled on his mother's arm Free from sorrow, safe from harm Wise men bring him in the cold Myrrh and frankincense and gold And all the Stars in heaven shall sing The glory of the new-born King And all the Stars in heaven shall sing The glory of the new-born King Factory chimneys belch and smoke Flowers fade and rivers choke The greed of man for wealth and power Destroys our planet hour by hour The stars of heaven dim and fade Pity the world that we have made From this world of death and hate We must find that hill where shepherds wait With one bright star shining on high Out of a clear and smokeless sky And all the Stars in heaven shall sing The glory of the new-born King And all the Stars in heaven shall sing The glory of the new-born King The glory of the new-born KingI know I haven't strictly followed the rules, but I'm submitting this anyway. Still as relevant today as when I wrote it eight years ago. There is music, but I'm not technically capable enough to upload it. Merry Christmas. © on Oct 18 2001 07:28 AM PST    spiritual • hope • contemporary
