Deliver me some evil Deliver me some evil Father As you unzip me Deliver me some love As you start to suck Deliver some love Onto my teen body Deliver me some shame As you betray my trust Deliver me onto Years of therapy Years of lies Years of pain Deliver onto me some truth I never knew Of your sickness Of your transfers Even after the decree Signed and sealed Not like the young lips You forced open Ignoring my pleas Father no Father no Father no Father Deliver me some peace I thought I was The only one Til I read the paper Saw the story And learned what had happened Deliver me an answer Archbishop Cover-up How many boys Is a priest Supposed to have Until he has bagged his limit Deliver some jail time For Father and the Archbishop Deliver me a faith That protects its young And faces Not hides Its sins Deliver me some reason To overcome my anger And my grief For what was given To me As my birthright Has been taken Help me learn The beauty Of true love Please someone Anyone who cares If not God Please deliver us From this evilA difficult topic Written April 7th, 2002 © on Apr 07 2002 05:44 AM PST   18 • 0 • 13
