You Will Pass Out Before You Die You weren’t supposed to die Corey Just pass out From the heat From 300 plus pounds From being so much meat On the hoof From the inner logic Of football That says Play through it Get bigger Get tougher And above all Stay on the field After you had died I read about Coaches Who told players Like you That in the case Of heat exhaustion You will pass out And it Will be All right And I said Oh no They could not say that Not in This day and age Of medicine And training And it Is lucky Oh so lucky That we Do not have Three hundred Plus Pound Bodies In hospitals More Insurance Checks Being written To widows More letters Of regret More children Without fathers And so I am Wondering What was the Price of the ticket I just boughtSomething to consider This has been revised.
