A Lament
By Ld Marduk
My thoughts—Hold passions and desires,My heart but cannot bear,For they bring to me, no comfort,For there is no one…to share. And thus—My lamenting cries,Carry on the wind,Seeking peace for my anguished soul,But finding none…instead. So here am I,So much in love,I find it hard to bear,Knowing, in reality,That thou art unaware.‘Tis thee—For whom my heart doth ache,My soul in anguish be,And yet I cannot bear it,That thou know not how I feel,And that my love for thee is lost,To thee…as but…unreal.
