A Poet's Words
By Ld Marduk
A poet's words…come from the heart,The depths…that art his soul,And speak…of many feelings,From love…but unrequited,To tears of joy…and sorrow.Such feelings art…placed down in verse,As prose…or poetry,To place before…the eyes of all,His all too open heart--Sharing joys…and sorrows,So often felt by all,But not so easily expressed,For such oft…be uncomfortable.And yet…tis by the doing,That such feelings take on form,So another…may find solace,In knowing they're not alone.Yes a poet's words come from the heart,And the depths that art his soul,Exploring…through the art of verse,Feelings…universal.
