Legends
By Ld Marduk
In a forest filled with ancient trees, an’ toad stool rings, an’ sprightly fairies, where the water runs as cold as death, An’ old oaks thrive, where none have stepped— Where wind… But howls a banshees wail, an’ shadows lurk, seek to prevail— For in the darkness have they power, an’ glorify the witching hour, yielding only come the sun, its rays dispelling legends spun— For in this forest, old as time, magic dwells, a state of mind, where toad stool rings, an’ sprightly fairies, watch from shadows… ‘Neath the light of a bright full moon. And water runs as cold as death, An’ old oaks thrive, Where none have stepped, Where wind… But howls a banshees wail, an’ spirits drawn and ghostly pale, Wander ‘neath a hallowed moon, an’ discourse…a mournful tune, yielding only come the sun, It rays dispelling…legends spun.
