The Cheerful Spring
By Ld Marduk
The cheerful spring came kindly on,To soothe my broken heart,For gone were thee…away from me,But oh so early on.The sultry sun of summer came,To idly but caress me,Its warmth to melt…an icy heart,Which was but all thou left me.The autumn with its many colors,Brightened heart and soul,And twas what but convinced me,Twas time to let thee go—The winter with its cold embrace,Wrapped its arms around me,And sheltered me…from memories,So I…at last…am free.
