TIDES
By Ld Marduk
As the tides of the sea yet beckon, With whispers…on the wind, Calling unto me, Speaking…as a friend— The rocky clefts…that are the shore, Speak to me as well, As if…but to give warning, And the whispers…seek to quell— Yet the tides of the sea still beckon, Calling unto me, To bind me to their siren song, For all eternity— For their voice is like a lovers, An enticing sound…indeed, One which haunts me to this day, And oft invades my dreams— For though the tides of the sea, Are nothing more, Than a quaint, fond memory, Yet I hear their siren song, Their voice cry out to me— For their voice is like a lovers, An enticing sound…indeed, One that shall haunt me, Day and night…for all eternity.
