While She Lay Sleeping
By Ld Marduk
I sat by her side…as she lay sleeping,Consumed, by all her beauty,Lightly kissed her…so as not,To wake her suddenly—Thus…I sat there, quietly,And watched…as she lay sleeping,Going over…in my mind,How deeply…were the feelings—Of love…and deep devotion,That I felt for her,And knelt to whisper…in her ear,Such feelings…as they were.For n’er before…had I done so,While she…abed…lay sleeping,I’ll tell her now…before she wakes,So in her dreams they are held,For safekeeping.
