Mirror of Sorrow
By LemonChaos
I am the girl in the mirror A perfect reflection of you I live my life as you would Just from a different view The world around me shaded In your sadness and your tears A raging storm of emotions Building over the years I keep it all locked away From you, so you may live A happy life, sans all the pain This to you I give But when you seem to get lost You step right through the glass The pain and sorrow fills you Within this world of brass Everything is tarnished From crying tears of old Your flesh begins to crawl As it is filled with cold Your body can not stay Forever in this place It will slowly kill you Scar and mark your face People see it as you pass A marked woman you stand I will help you to get back Just take hold my hand Take this one step for me No - take for yourself Only you can make it back Place sorrow on the shelf Once back into your world Much better things will seem Within your life the happiness Will begin to gleam Never let the sorrow of My mirror world show through It is not fair to your own soul It is not fair to youI know this poem is a little weird because there are an odd number of stanzas, but this is just how it came out. I felt it was time to go back to my serious type of poetry, because that's what I'm best at. I hope you all enjoy this poem.
