Nightmare Before Christmas

By LemonChaos

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The REAL Christmas Story T'was the night before Christmas And in our dear house The kids had gone crazy They jumped on the couch "Where's Santa, where's Santa?!" "I want my presents!" "Shut up you damn kids Santa ain't here yet!" They bounded around Too excited to sleep They listened for Santa But heard not a creak They sat out their cookies Beside them some milk And put on their nightgowns All made of silk They looked out the window To see if they could See old Saint Nick And his sleigh made of wood We told them to go And get ready for bed They told us no And they wished us dead They wanted to stay up And see the reindeer Their father just glared And said, "Get over here! Now you go to bed You ungreatful devils!" But of course they stayed up They were young rebels They waited and waited All the while getting roudy They began to get sleepy And soon they got pouty Fnally at midnight We scared them to sleep We said if they didn't Their presents we'd keep They told us we couldn't That Santa would stop us We threatened to run Over him with a schoolbus So finally in bed Those kids did go We set out there presents Little did they know And in the next morning Guess what they found? Bundles of presents All sitting around They jumped and they squealed And dashed to the boxes Expecting race cars and Barbies And boxes of chocolates They found sweaters and socks And a few bouncy balls We were bombarded by anger And upset little calls Those ungreatful devils Had evil in their eyes But soon those devils Would be quite surprised We opened the door And what did they see? A brand new corvet And a huge ass TV! Mommy and daddy Had bought quite a Christmas They got everything That had been on *their* wishlist The kids had to settle For unwanted gifts And needless to say They were quite pissed The moral of the story: Don't rely on your luck At least once in your lifetime Your Christmas will suckI was laying on the couch and this just sorta popped into my head, hehe... I know some of the lines don't really fit (beat wise), but hey, I think it works. Written December 23rd, 2001 © on Dec 23 2001 07:10 AM PST, Julianna Taylor-Mulder   0 • 14
