That's Alright
By LemonChaos
No one reads my poems anymore It's like they kicked me out the door Pulled the mat from under my feet Shoved my ass onto the street That's alright, that's okay I'm going to write them anyway No harm done, I'm just fine Keep on writing these poems of mine Comments dwindled from five to one Instead of alot I only get some And when they tell me I really suck I tell them I don't give a fuck That's alright, that's okay I'm going to write them anyway I won't wine, I won't cry Keep on reading to find out why I write my poetry for myself Not to satisfy anyone else The world is lucky I decide to share A little nicety would only be fair That's alright, that's okay I'm going to write them anyway Will not worry, will not fret I will get my comments yetThis is not a complaint (even though my comments *have* been dwendling), I just thought of it when I was realizing that at first everyone was reading my poetry, but as soon as I started writing some comedic stuff it went down the drain. I guess I already jumped the shark! OUCH! But, I'm going to keep writing because it's what I love. Eventually someone is going to come along and read it and say, "Hey, that's really cool." That's what this poem is all about. Written December 20th, 2001 © on Dec 19 2001 03:05 PM PST, Julianna Taylor-Mulder 0 • 10
