Blankness
By Lime
A quick glance sears into my waking heart, A toothy smirk reaches inside and pulls me out. Me, all I was before you, And the utter blankness i am now. You stole me completely, wrenching my battered soul from an already bruised body. You took my confusion and my mind, dismantling, Then tossing them restlessly as game pieces. Now, I am empty, missing the light that rose my dreary sight, A mere glimpse of you pushes me back, ripping at time, begging for a need, a feeling Hoping for an awakening, Hoping to retrieve the broken pieces Hoping for you.
