Mind Numbing Sanity
By Lime
A small-town girl with nothing learned, nothing shared Her soul lost in the mindless reverie of simplicity Days pass, without even an opening of dream, Spent numbingly with people without appealing features Clones stare not quite at her, wide-eyed, and dense Lacking slivers of windows into the soul Merely watching not experiencing or feeling Cold as the dull tiles covering the destitute bathroom They see through her, into the open, cathartic air Missing her sense of being, her essence, Seeing only the same overshadowed, dull eyes Staring blankly at the future lazily mapped out in front Lines drawn to disenchantment and wishes squandered in dots The girl knows she is lost, forced into the chains of routine.
