Since that first meeting, fleeting emotions passed, shrouded in promise, and I still love you. Minutes, days, months, fly away, and yet your memory keeps fresh awakening me every morning with that same foolish grin and kissing me goodnight with your crystalline eyes. It took me a fall, a winter, a summer before I realized that your eyes reflected my desperate feelings. Back then, I pretended and looked past you, to only my best friend, missing out on a love I'll never experience. You walked uphill and down for me You waited for me to need you You loved me when I collapsed into myself And now I love you more than you know And you love her.
