A Business Decision

By Mad Jack

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It wasn't poetic, it wasn't prose, just a business decision, caused the plant to close. What is this perfidity, we're just left to guess, just a business decision, caused this hellacious mess? It's the easiest thing, to sign on the line, just a business decision, then go out and dine. They'll say it with ease, but won't look in your eye, just a business decision, you don't have to cry. Don't worry about bills, or your children in bed, just a business decision, and mine are well fed. Left out in the cold, to fend for yourself, just a business decision, causes an empty shelf. I'll come back strong, I'll do my part, but it wasn't a business decision, just a lack of heart. Written December 18th, 2001 © on Dec 18 2001 04:06 AM PST   0 • 10
