Waiting

By Madriar

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Why can’t time just fly by now? Pacing pacing across the floor. I’ve walked my steps one hundred times before. You told me to be patient, but I can’t wait anymore. Tick tock tick tock goes the clock on the wall. I watch the clock with anticipation but time just seems to slow. Drip drip goes the sink, tap tap goes the tennis ball bouncing across the floor. These are things, I’ve really not noticed before.  Pace and pace again, but the time will not end.I hate waiting Written April 5th, 2002 © on Apr 05 2002 09:07 AM PST   0 • 1
