\"The Fields Of Disillusionment\"
In my dreams, I hate and scream, There's no sign of life. Down dark corridors, I feel my way, Searching for the light. Mother Nature blessed me, With the gift of pain, And the pleasures of loss. She left me the teachings, Of the purity in life, From the testimonies of the false. Where cold bodies walk, Is where I'm destined to be, Written by design. Like strokes from a paintbrush, Spreading morbid colors, The thought is soothing to my eyes. So tell me where are the profits. The ones you speak so highly of, The profits in being sane. My nerves are tangled, And when I look your way, I look at you with complete dismay. My vision is blind, I've sewn my own eyes shut, My mind lives in constant disfigurement. So maybe I'm crazy, But it's a calm way to be, As I run through the fields of disillusionment.2001, Written August 30th, 2001 © on Aug 30 2001 03:49 AM PST 0 • 1
