and so she wants a diamond ring, but i think her soul is worth much more than that, why do they want to grow old and die so fast? she grabs onto anything that breaks her fall, im glad im not the one she breaks, i thought i was the one who always missed the train, but now i see that they only slow down long after theyve missed their stops, she forgets what she plants, until she finds herself overwhelmed and tangled in its roots, what can she do but smile? that smile i know is sad, people caught in quicksand smile the same way, i wonder if she cries at night, i wonder if she still ignores the sun, i can only hope she doesnt wither and die, im not sure if i would paint the sky for her anymore, i saw that side to her i was hoping i wouldnt see, that side too in touch with reality, all i have to offer is my soul, but that seems to be worthless these days.
