What Lies Hidden
By Monkei
Every time your lips touch mine, A little chill travels down my spine. But every time he looks at me, I fell the heat across me cheeks. Every time your hand takes mine, That chill travels down my spine. But every time he touches me, That fimiliar heat spreads across my cheeks. When you pull away and look into my eyes, The butterflies in my stomach start to fly. But every time he glances at me, I look away, like I don't see. And when you hold me to make everything alright, Those butterflies take flight. But every time he smiles at me, I look away so he can't see, What lies hidden in my eyes...A lot of what I am writing now is rather elementary, and it has been so long since I have been inspired to really write anything that I would like some tips on how to make sound a little more like real poetry and a little less like it was written by some third grader.
