Stillness… Darkness… Nothingness… Cold beyond belief And broken beyond repair. Our world was dead to Magic, Our world was consumed by Despair. And yet, a seed lay ready For a spring that slowly comes; And the song that lies within it Will wake the dormant suns. Watch as the plant extends A cautious, tiny leaf Probing its new world Waiting for its fertilizer of Belief Quietly it grows and stretches Till full-sized it has become; Yet still, there are no flowers And that saving song has not begun And then suddenly it happens! In a perfect burst of light A single Rose has blossomed: Its petals defy the Night And that song, that glorious song Leaps from its shining center there While golden lightning streaks and dances Through triumphant, living air. The Earth will live again!
