Helping You Heal

Saw you on TV yesterday, doing another interview, noticed how the sadness had grown in your eyes, time for me to act, and help you heal. Paid outrageous fortune to some two-bit company, had to get your phone number, crossed my fingers for luck, dialed the number, you answered with that sexy voice, the one that drives women crazy, explained I could heal your heart, help you come to terms with your loss, surprise and annoyance were in your tone, but I kept on, finally, you agreed to listen. Took a deep breath and began, told you how proud your father is right now, he looks down from heaven and smiles at his youngest son, you choke up and ask shyly, if I really thought so, of course I do, went on and listened as you worked through the pain, my own tears flowing with yours, for 14 years you have wondered why your father was taken, but you realize that will always be an unanswered question, your father takes his rightful place in your heart, and the healing begins. For the first time, I hear hope in your voice. You ask again and again, who am I?, but, that is not important, we will meet one day, now is not the time, you are not ready for my love, and I am very patient. You hang up puzzled but with a sense of inner peace, I hang up, wrap my arms around myself, know deep down that I helped you heal, today is a good day.
