While my life is on hold, I will think only about you, with your black curls, incredible biceps, pretty eyes, my new obsession. While my on again, off again relationship is once more off again, I will dream of the two of us, entwined like the lovers, I hope we could be. While my size is dwindling to something more acceptable to society, I will stare at your picture, and wish that it would come alive, then you wink at me and everything is all right. While I exist in a holding pattern, waiting to be the slim, beautiful woman that, in a sea of admirers, your eyes would meet mine, you'd smile and beckon me closer, connection made, it's love at first sight, well on your part as I love you already. Until then it's pictures to look at, videotapes to watch over and over, dreams to chase the night away, wishful thinking and prayers for a miracle.
