Death! Where is your Sting?

By Nafumjromwami

Death, why a mystery to us?For how long will you remain hidden from us?Even with our sophisticated technologies,We cannot fully comprehend you!You snatch us away our loved ones,At the time we need them most, You never knock or even inform us when you are striking,If you did, may be we would always prepare ourselves for you,But even then, who knows where you would be taking us?If you were a case in court, I would sell everything to defend myself,If you were tangible to me, I would do everything to crash you,If you were an enemy to see, I would do anything to avoid you,But you are none of anything but yourself. You make us so venerable, useless, and so small in your eyesIn memory of my dad who died of multiple sicknesses of hypertension, heart attack and kidney problems as a result of fatal car accident, and my sister who was attacked at night by unknown attackers- we will never know them, and my nephews and nieces- the list is long.
