Where is my Treasure?

By Nafumjromwami

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I am haunted by the biblical words: “Where your treasure is, then there your heart is” My heart is unsettled in search of its treasure I thought I had found it, found it in money, in my lover, in drinking, in friends… But the more of these, the more I was left restless empty, empty than even before. It seems to me that as limited but spiritual(with a soul) human beings, nothing much in this world can offer us full satisfaction.
