Hyena’s Greed
Like a Hyena on the forest path hunting for his prey, hungry, desperate He can’t wait, he can’t hold any longer Anything that will come his way At this intersection he smells his prey From both directions, the smell comes Sweet, delicious, scentiful He salivates, he anticipates The smell is too sweet He can’t let go any of them He can’t lose any of them He can’t afford it He stretches his legs both directions Wider and wider Just in case, lest he lose any of them And guess what happens! He wanted to possess us both And so she did He wanted to love us both Her too. If only true love could be shared. Written December 14th, 2001 © on Dec 14 2001 11:26 AM PST 0 • 8
