In Between
I am no longer a child But I am not yet there I am nineteen Soon and very soon I will be there But from here to there It is like eternity Last night I had a dream In the dream I saw myself great- in my own house, with my own car With friends, with everything. Life was to its pick Oh, come morning! Usual story, usual song from mama and baba: ”when our daughter completes college, when we start saving for our old age, when she gets a job when she moves from here…. I get pissed of I feel like telling them: Dad, give me a break! Mama, give me a break! Give me time! For I am nineteen!I know parents will be resentful of this. But after talking to young fellows of 19 and 20 from a cross section of the country, I realize they are anxious, stressful, uncertain of the future... These years are trying moments for them.
