Poor Me!

By Nafumjromwami

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I have a knee injury I sustained eleven years a go while playing this nice but stupid soccer game It was mild at the time, but it is serious- a torn medial meniscus. A major operation I will undergo! But I love soccer. It is my worst addiction I can’t stand being on the fence when it is played I have made fame for myself, and fame to my team No match of me even after the two seasons The impulse is great. In me it is irresistible I know I am risking my future but I can’t stop it Poor me! If only I had strong will power to say no No for a no! I may not be the only one in this situation ask M. Jordan and he will tell ask KANU and he will tell And even Clinton if you want! But why do we do things we know we shouldn't’t be doing? Why do we do bad when we know it is bad? Why do we do evil when we know it is evil? If only I had the answer to these?Sometimes it is a mystery for why we do what we do. But sometimes it is just because of who we are.
