Slaughtered Innocents
I stood far watching, In disbelief I watched. The cruelty on this cow, As the men pierced her. Ten men struggled, With blunt objects they struggled. Theirs was to get meat, At all cost they would get it. Untold suffering they inflicted, Untold pain the innocent suffered. Her life she was losing, At the hands of these ruthless men. The cries were not for nothing, Expression of desire to live was. For the fear of the unknown may be, And the absolute control in the present There, I stood speechless, dumb, panicky, sympathetic… For it reminded me of the ordeals experienced by the slaughtered innocent unborn and born babes, the raped and slaughtered women and men. I couldn’t help but cry! Cry! Cry! Oh God help. Written January 4th, 2002 © on Jan 04 2002 11:40 AM PST 0 • 1
