With You I am Whole

By Nafumjromwami

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Morning by morning I look myself in the mirror Looking for the answers to, whose image? Who am I? And how do I improve my image? Two mirrors I need for my front and back for one is less than real. Joy fills my heart when I realize that you are my mirror, that you are my other self I know for sure that I am not an island That I can’t be myself without you For without you I am nothing You reveal to me my limitedness You feel the gaps in my being In you I draw closer to maturity In you I draw closer to perfection For you compliment my beingness Written February 14th, 2002 © on Feb 14 2002 01:19 AM PST   0 • 9
