Your Spirit Mama
Mama, you were everything to me You were my husband You were my children You were my happiness You were my life I did everything to prevent you from going And when I knew I was heading to nowhere I gave in and said to you, I better go with you On this you said: “God will decide” You consoled me I know you are alive I believe in the life after I believe in the living dead I believe in the resurrection I know you are in the company of others before you I know I am not alone and even when I am alone I am not lonely Your spirit is with me. You come with the trinity You are closer to me than when you were alive You are powerful, strong and compelling Lusabe N. Len. 12/10/01I dedicate this poem to my friend whose mum we buried today in the morning. She is alone. She lost her job her job years ago because of some illness in her neck. She loved her mother dearly, but now she is gone. Ever watched a movie by the name "Bouble Jeopardy? Hers are multi-tragedies. But there are many more out there who share this same experience. My sympathies and prayer to you all. Written December 10th, 2001 © on Dec 10 2001 06:07 AM PST 0 • 1
