A Leper's Gift

By Netsubo

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The night falls into view And the leper walks down that path Full of the struggling You hide within your heart A deep soliloquy of voices Surrounds what was never there And a blank space of time Is felt in my heart Is that really the truth? Fall deep into darkness And pierce the eye of a Cerebros With the tongue you brandish It all goes too fast.. Deep and dark voices Surround what should not be A soliloquy.. Of hatred My requiem has already been written And ridden by the tramping of humanity But my vision still remains.. Forget my words, you will not Come down again.. Laugh with me under a palm Come to that starlit path That was treasured by none else.. Take it all away again Won’t you? Leprosy swirls around And we all fall apart.. In our minds It’s so strange That constant insecurity Join the soliloquy.. Or be shot down by the arrows of time This doesn’t concern me.. Anymore I’ll place the leeches on your neck And drain the evil blood from your body Take away what was never there Make it even emptier.. You said you could do that Show me, make my void larger Make something of nothing.. And forget whatever we said Our words matter, not at all For the wind calls... Asking for a red filled palm Cup your hand Outstretch your arm I’ll spit my hatred.. And make you feel what’s inside Your blonde hair.. Once flowed in the wind But now, so different.. Rip it out.. Try and piece back that heart of mine I’d love to see you try You can’t fix what is not broken.. You never had an effect A leper may lose his limbs But an understanding is shown All falls apart.. Nonetheless The devil once called And we conversed for awhile I contemplated reaching into the dark And feeling what lay ahead.. But your deceit reminded me Forget all hope.. Nothing was left of that tattered book And the pages were all ripped out Try and comprehend.. What was never there Fill my void With another black hole.. Reach into the dark soul Of a traveling leper He loses all of his limbs.. But his soul is intact.a bit long.. sorry everyone. hmm, not too sure what its about, but i kinda like this one.
