'Let Go of Regret'

A dream was had And those icy spheres returned. I wish I could’ve stopped But your lips touched mine all in the same. Something was different.. Besides this being a dream Something was out of place. I think I might know... Your words called the shots, As always. But my actions controlled your words.. I remember now.. It was you.. Begging for that kiss. Even though you didn’t even feel it.. Tell me..  how is it when the tables are turned? Even this house was different The walls.. Carpet, ceiling.. Everything out of place. It would’ve been nice if it was real Cause before I woke up, That feeling returned And it was like I was a year younger. Damn.. The phone off to the side was a good interruption All the time I knew it was a dream But took those sweet kisses as something to hold onto Gotta forget about all the bad “Let go of regret” That was once said.. They made it sound pretty damn easy. I guess, I’ve gotta try something else Another path.. Cause waiting doesn’t do anything. And even though my legs are afraid of moving I’ve got to someday. All my words are in such a jumble.. A rambling idiot, the speaker of those words. Wishing I could get off my feet Fly into whatever will come to me Nothing seems right.. Its all some bittersweet nightmare. A year ago, such happiness filled my heart, All for a waste of time. I’d love to take you back again...
