Rain Drops...Our Souls
By Netsubo
I watch the sky turn grey And feel the moisture overcome me... As the air thickens, so does the plot. And the pain reaches a shadow in my heart Blinding the insecurities And holding my tongue I watch the raindrops fall... Ever so slowly I stare out the window And slow time with my mind The raindrops...taking longer an longer... To crash into the earth The silence of the spirit Becomes my hatred And it shines light into the blind eyes... Of my own cursed shadows So the vision is reunited with understanding And a calm breeze cools my sweat To speak my mind... I must fly high...above the stars But my wings are withheld By patience As the raindrops... Fall ever so slowly... To their knees. Written January 1st, 2002 © on Jan 01 2002 07:19 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
