Feverish Nightmare

By Nici

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Vampire child came to me Placed his arms above my bed I took a knife behind my back Stuck it through his bleeding head Drug his body across the room Closed the door outside the gate Watched the sunrise crawling through Waited for my prison mate Indian came to cast a spell Spoke three words I could not hear Left me alone in my room Nothing but a voice drawing near "There is the killer," I heard them say I hid behind the closet door They had come for my disposal I would be breathing no more Softly I heard a whisper Coming from the other side "We will find you eventually," "There is no place for you to hide!" I awoke to hear Jim Morrison Sing seductive praises and rhyme I wiped the sweat from my brow And wished for better a time Written January 17th, 2002 © on Jan 17 2002 07:29 AM PST   0 • 10
