Acid Rock Dreamer
I once talked to a monkey sitting on my lap. I once cried for hexagonal skies that were fast disappearing. I once chased coffee beans around my living room because they were trying To untie my shoes. I once laughed at nothing. I once created great works of art. I once fed little pink elephants peanuts in my bedroom, to awake And find only empty peanut shells on my floor. I once read the stars. I once climbed a fence to get to the top of a mountain. I once fell down and couldn't get up because A giant was standing on my chest. I once had a ferris wheel spin off into the night. I once had a tub full of water turn blue. I once had a friend grow an extra face and Watched her swallow it. I once watched a friend learn to fly. I once saw a friend that had died. I once refused to repeat mistakes made by others and myself Concerning LSD.This is a poem about my many years of substance abuse... Which are thankfully mostly over now!!
