You never seem to understand, It's not what you do but who you do it for, If you live your life accomplishing their goals you will never find your own happiness; You will never find your own heart, And until you realize that morality plays the smallest part in life, You will always be following the path they made for you; You will always be heading towards the light at the end of the tunnel, When really the light only leads into a blinding protection... Please don't be fooled by their words and their graces, Their fake tears and sad faces, You are your own person, And until you wake up and realize that you will always be boxed into that corner, Where blue and red collide to form a purple ignorance. Hope may be what keeps you alive, But what is hope if there is no chance of ever achieving it?
