Her (Challenge Poem)
Her eyes are as beautiful as the ocean on a moon-lit night, Her hair as flawless as the sun's gentle grace and the meadow's endless sway, Her smile as warm and comforting as everything I used to have, But now her eyes are blurred with tears, Her hair not combed in days, And even thought I try to make her laugh I haven't seen her smile since I was in second grade. I know it's there somewhere, And that is the hope that drives me to stay alive. It helps me to live because maybe someday she will smile again, And I don't want to miss that day, Because she is too beautiful to frown. This was for webdreamer's challenge i think. It was like: Write a poem about your tool to fight depression. Written January 3rd, 2002 © on Jan 03 2002 06:37 AM PST 18 • 0 • 8
