I Am a Poet
Poetry has no shape, No form. It follows no patterns, Doesn't have a turn signal for when it turns, It moves on it's own. It has a mind of it's own. Poetry is not something you can be taught, It must be felt, And if you haven't felt poetry you haven't felt life. Poetry is life. Life exists in poetry. I am poetry. I am a poet. Poetry has as many curves as it wants, It doesn't only pertain to useless haikus or sensless rhymes, But it does contain those two figures, And it can be anything it is made to be. Poetry is what you make it to be. Poetry is poetry. Don't make it any more. Poetry has no shope, No form. It follows no patters. Poetry is life. Life exists in poetry. I am poetry. We are poetry. I am a poet, Hear me roar. Written November 19th, 2001 © on Nov 18 2001 03:39 PM PST 0 • 10
