I Do it For Me
I do it for the thrill I know I will one day have, I do it for the life I one day dream to live. I hope to no longer feel pain, To no longer put up with people's cruel comments and oversized egos, Or overly-expressed opinions, Especially from those I thought cared about me. I do it because I don't want to have a complicated life. I want to relax all day and live the high life I deserve, But so many people try to take it away. They cry out and complain that selfishness has given money and power to the wrong people, But what do they know? They didn't work hard and long to enjoy it, They just want it. They are only worse then those who have it. I know many people think money is a bad thing, That all things in life are free, But I don't think everything in life is free, Especially not happiness. In this day and age friendship only gets you so far, Sometimes you have to do things for yourself, And this I will do for me. I do it for the trill, I do it for the life, I do it to erase the pain, I do it for hope, I do it for you, I do it for tomorrow... I do it for the future.
