Dear Brightshining Star ~ The evening's blessing thee wished upon this little child did make of last night's gentling hours one beckoning lullay 'round a summer's eve cresting the beauty of any that had come before... and is unlikely to be again for season's nearing her ending soonest now... trees already half-golden rush to meet their final promise of full adoration and splendour nature gifts to them alone... chill nights now call to young and old alike "Come! don sweaters, socks, and play!... soon misty rains shall steal from May fair autumn's moon... a falling sun 'neath which the leaves shall dance and run,.. and skip and twirl balletic leaps, while harvest's sund'rings lay in heaps... and yellow carpets children ride to magic places, minds to bide... where, ancient as 'the Golden Rule', they too shall learn 'tween 'wise' and 'fool'... ah, golden times indeed were they!... and still they be... in hearts yet gay, and mem'ries warm for sharings: 'tis... for you, what was; for me, what is... ev'ry passing moment For the beauty of the earth For the beauty of the skies For the love which from our birth Over and around us lies Lord of all, to Thee we raise This our hymn of grateful praise 'member?
